El día que Patricia Bullrich participó del secuestro de los Born y cobró 4 millones de dólares de rescate
En abril del 2017, Mirtha Legrand invitó a su programa de televisión a Patricia Bullrich y, casi de la nada, le disparó la temida pregunta. ¿Patricia había sido parte de Montoneros? Era un interrogante venenoso, ya que tácitamente recogía el rumor siempre vigente sobre su participación en el secuestro de los hermanos Born.
Durante aquella visita al programa de Mirtha Legrand, visiblemente conmovida, Patricia Bullrich bajó la vista y balbuceó: “No, yo fui de la JP”. La conductora no repreguntó y dejó que la entonces ministra de Seguridad se escapara por la tangente.
Ricardo Ragendorfer, autor de una biografía no autorizada sobre “La Piba” –tal como se la conocía- desmintió a rajatabla esa explicación: «Claramente lo que dijo -en el programa de Mirtha– es falso”.
No sólo el libro de Ragendorfer, sino las fuentes periodísticas y los testimonios de diversos actores de la política argentina de entonces ofrecen una explicación muy diferente sobre la relación entre Patricia Bullrich y los Montoneros. Y también, sobre su participación en el secuestro extorsivo de los hermanos Born, por el que se pagaron 4 millones de dólares, uno de los montos más grandes de la historia.
También resulta muy ilustrativo un libro publicado por la dictadura cívico militar a fines del mes de noviembre de 1979, al que tuvo acceso exclusivo REALPOLITIK, titulado “El Terrorismo en la Argentina”, que en sus anexos 19 y 32 incluye un dossier sobre el «Secuestro de los hermanos Born» y los “Secuestros extorsivos más importantes ejecutados por la delincuencia terrorista” respectivamente.
En 1974, tras la muerte del general Juan Domingo Perón, la Triple A tuvo vía libre para llevar a cabo sus acciones parapoliciales. Como respuesta, Montoneros adoptó el recurso del “doble encuadramiento”, que implicó que muchos militantes de superficie fuesen incorporados a su aparato militar sin dejar de pertenecer a sus agrupaciones de origen.
Según la opinión coincidente de varios contemporáneos de entonces, “La Piba” o “Cali” –tal como era conocida Patricia Bullrich– fue incluida en dicho régimen con el grado de “cuñada primera” (según se recuerda, en tono irónico), ya que su hermana, Julieta, era la pareja de Rodolfo Galimberti. Los tres formaban parte de la Columna Norte de la “orga”.
A fines de agosto de 1974, “Cali” recibió la orden de realizar un relevamiento de la zona, consistente en monitorear el flujo de vehículos en el tramo de la avenida del Libertador que abarcaba desde la localidad de Beccar hasta la Capital Federal. Las fuentes disponibles aseguran que no recibió explicación alguna sobre la acción que se planeaba realizar, lo que era habitual para prevenir que todo se cayera si alguno de los integrantes resultaba capturado. Cada uno sabía la parte que le correspondía.

Al cabo de algunos días presentó su informe, poco tiempo antes de que Montoneros decidiera pasar a la clandestinidad. El 19 de septiembre se produjo el secuestro. Era un jueves, apenas pasadas las 8.00 de la mañana. Una camioneta Chevrolet C10 Posi Track color beige estaba estacionada en la intersección de la calle Acassuso y la Avenida Elflein, de La Lucila. Una lona verde sobre su caja aseguraba que estaba “Al servicio de ENTel”. El conductor era Miguel Lizaso; sentado en el medio, Galimberti; y en el extremo opuesto un militante apodado “Chacho”, que sostenía una escopeta recortada entre sus piernas. Este vehículo estaba respaldado por otra camioneta, marca Dodge, que trasladaba a dos integrantes apodados “Tomás” y “Román”. Mientras tanto, otros dos miembros de la célula permanecían colgados de un poste, simulando reparar cables de teléfono.
El plano señala el lugar y la forma cómo se desplazaron los vehículos al producirse el secuestro.
Sobre la avenida Elflein estaba estacionado un tercer vehículo, una Ford F-100, con un cartel de “Gas del Estado”, y un supervisor: Roberto Quieto, miembro de la conducción nacional de Montoneros.
A las 8.10, a 5 kilómetros de ese lugar, salía de la gigantesca propiedad de los Born en la localidad de Beccar un Ford Falcon De Luxe celeste, escoltado por otro similar de color verde, en el que viajaba su custodia -dos policías de civil- que tomaron la avenida Libertador. Inmediatamente un Peugeot 504 comenzó a seguirlos.
La camioneta de los secuestradores, aún junto al automóvil en que viajaban las víctimas del operativo, al que chocó.
El destino de Born eran las oficinas del holding ubicadas en Lavalle y Reconquista. Pero algo alteró los planes originales: Jorge Born no viajaba solo, sino acompañado de su chofer y de otras dos personas. Su hermano Juan Born, quien habitualmente se trasladaba en un Chevrolet 400, compartía con él el asiento trasero, y un ignoto acompañante se ubicaba en el asiento delantero junto al conductor.
A las 8.22, una falsa cuadrilla municipal colocaba un semáforo portátil en Libertador y San Lorenzo mientras que un falso policía desviaba el tránsito hacia el lugar de la emboscada. Cuando el Ford que conducía a los Born se aproximó allí, a las 8.24, la camioneta que conducía Miguel Lizaso lo embistió de manera lateral. Cuando Galimberti y sus cómplices saltaron hacia el vehículo impactado, vieron que el chofer Pérez intentaba extraer un arma de la guantera. Sin dudarlo, hicieron estallar el parabrisas con fuego graneado, mientras que otros integrantes de la operación reducían a los policías de civil.
El chofer Pérez quedó muerto sobre el volante. Su acompañante salió del vehículo y cayó sin vida sobre la vereda, tras dar unos pocos pasos. La operación siguió su curso, y los hermanos Born fueron conducidos al destino designado.
El semáforo y el cartel se hallaban sobre la franja de tránsito hacia la Capital en la avenida del Libertador. Fueron ubicados sobre la calzada, en la esquina de San Lorenzo, con el fin de desviajar el automóvil de los Born y de Bosch.
Horas más tarde Galimberti llegó exultante al domicilio ubicado en avenida del Tejar, donde lo esperaban Julieta y “Cali”. Traía consigo un ejemplar de la edición vespertina del diario Crónica, en la que se daba cuenta del suceso. Aún no había sido abierto. Al leer la información, la alegría se convirtió en furia: el misterioso acompañante era un alto directivo de Molinos Río de la Plata, la principal empresa del holding, que había desayunado esa mañana con los Born. Nada menos que Alberto Luis Cayetano Bosch Luro, de cuarenta años, primo segundo de Julieta y “Cali”. El hijo menor de doña Celia María Luro Sahores, prima de su abuelo materno, Juan Carlos Luro Livingston.
Presa del pánico –comenta Ragendorfer– “Cali” vio la foto y estalló: “¡Mataron al tío Alberto!”.
El resto es historia más conocida. Juan Born fue liberado en marzo de 1975, y Jorge el 20 de junio, tras el pago de 4 millones de dólares.
La opinión coincidente de los contemporáneos asegura que, por entonces, Patricia Bullrich no era un cuadro político ni militar de la “orga”. Pero sí miembro y partícipe del operativo del secuestro de los Born y del asesinato de su propio tío.
Mal que le pese y que siempre haya tratado de negarlo.
