El fatal episodio sucedió anoche, a la altura del kilómetro 49 de la ruta provincial 13 en San Vicente, donde producto de un choque frontal entre dos automóviles, perdieron la vida un hombre identificado como Juan Alberto Pereira de 37 años y dos menores reconocidos como Juan Gabriel Herculano de 13 y Nahiara Adriana Campos de 7. Además, otras tres personas que viajaban con ellos fueron trasladadas al nosocomio local con lesiones de consideración.
Según los primeros datos, el siniestro se habría producido alrededor de las 23:45 horas sobre la arteria mencionada, donde por causas que se tratan de establecer, un vehículo Peugeot 505 al mando de Juan Pereira, que circulaba en sentido San Vicente-El Soberbio, impactó de manera frontal contra un Volkswagen Vento, que transitaba en sentido opuesto.
En el lugar trabajaron los efectivos de la Comisaría 2.ª de San Vicente, la Policía Científica y los Bomberos Voluntarios, quienes trasladaron a los tres lesionados hasta el hospital local. Por su parte, el médico policial que examinó a las víctimas fatales determinó que presentaban múltiples politraumatismos y que fallecieron en el acto.
Asimismo, el Juzgado de Instrucción Nro. 3 de San Vicente, ordenó que se le notifique la instrucción de la causa al conductor Volkswagen, un hombre de 33 años y que los cuerpos sean entregados a sus familiares.
