Tras la implementación reciente de las avenidas Santa Catalina y Lavalle como vías de circulación con sentido único, la Municipalidad de Posadas avanza ahora con el desarrollo de un programa similar para reordenar el tránsito en los barrios. Para ello modificarán la circulación en calles internas. El puntapié se dio la semana pasada con la calle Rocamora, entre las avenidas Almirante Brown y Tambor de Tacuarí, cuya dirección única es ahora desde el Sur al Norte de la ciudad.
Esta semana el cambio se dio en la calle Carlos Pellegrini, entre Corrientes y Lavalle, cuyo sentido único ahora es desde el Oeste hacia el Este.
A futuro la iniciativa contempla seguir con medidas similares en Villa Urquiza, en proximidades al Parque de la Salud, y también en la zona de la Terminal de Ómnibus dada la conflictividad para transitar por esos lugares, principalmente en horas pico.
“Estamos trabajando en un plan completo para tratar de llegar a todas las chacras de la ciudad”, señaló a El Territorio Lucas Jardín, secretario de Movilidad Urbana de Posadas.
“Por supuesto que también venimos trabajando con las manos únicas en las avenidas y todo el sector alrededor de ellas, porque es donde se generan los conflictos por el retorno que usan los vehículos, son los sectores que se ven más afectados”, agregó el funcionario municipal.
A diferencia de las avenidas, cuyo debate se dio en el Concejo Deliberante y fue aprobado por ordenanza, para las calles basta con un decreto del Ejecutivo posadeño, tal cual contempla la normativa de Ordenamiento y Jerarquización Vial.
En carpeta está avanzar con la zona del barrio Tajamar, que comprende a las chacras 40, 41, 42 y 43. “Ahí también estamos trabajando en hacer manos únicas a las calles y después todas las chacras alrededor del hospital que son puntos importantes. Después vamos a seguir con la zona de Quaranta y Santa Catalina y Lavalle, donde se genera bastante conflicto”, detalló.
Motivos
Consultado sobre los motivos para tomar esta decisión dijo que se busca agilizar el tránsito y poder dar más seguridad a la hora de circular.
“Buscamos alivianar el tránsito y sobre todo porque las chacras, desde la 40 a la 43, entre Corrientes y Lavalle, son calles angostas donde pasa un vehículo y entra otro más estacionado y espacio para más de eso no hay. Hoy por hoy los autos vienen en doble sentido y para circular por ahí hay que hacer un zig zag y el problema no es sólo que ralentiza el tránsito sino también la seguridad y entre medio de eso hay calles con doble sentido de circulación y eso se torna peligroso”, sostuvo Jardín.
La intención es trabajar en todos los lugares que así lo ameriten “y trabajar en toda la ciudad desde Quaranta para el Norte y después algunos barrios más, pero estamos yendo chacra por chacra porque a veces hay colegios o instituciones que también ralentizan el proceso de las manos únicas”. “Pero ahora lo importante es la incorporación de señalización y la documentación legal”, insistió.
Por otro lado, habló sobre la implementación de las últimas avenidas como mano única y cómo están funcionando. “Actualmente Lavalle y Santa Catalina inclusive superan la suma de las dos arterias que teníamos antes”, dijo y agregó que antes de la modificación había 1.800 vehículos por día que ingresaban por Santa Catalina y Lavalle en sentido Sur-Norte.
“Hoy tenemos más de 2.000 vehículos sólo por Lavalle en el mismo horario. Entonces, la gente no sólo está usando de la misma manera la vía sino que se van incorporando nuevos vehículos. Hay un tránsito inducido que nos está dando la pauta de que estamos bien y que es una vía que está soportando el tránsito y más del que tenían antes”, finalizó
