Tomás Massa, el hijo del ministro de Economía Sergio Massa, contó que renunció a su trabajo como productor de contenidos de Mundo Selección y se volverá del Mundial de Qatar.
El caso había desatado una fuerte polémica después de que el joven subiera videos desde Doha y recibiera una lluvia de críticas en las redes sociales.
Todo comenzó cuando trascendió la noticia de que el hijo del ministro de Economía viajaría al Mundial de Qatar 2022 gracias a un contrato relacionado con la Asociación del Fútbol Argentino (AFA). Según se supo, su tarea consistía en crear contenido para las redes sociales en la plataforma Mundo Selección, que pertenece a la empresa Be Smart Technology.
Comenzaron a aparecer sospechas sobre posibles vínculos entre el gobierno y esa empresa. En ese marco, además de crecer las críticas en las redes sociales, un grupo de diputados opositores encabezados por Graciela Ocaña presentaron un pedido de informes respecto a la contratación de Tomás Massa.
Entre la información que se pedía, se reclamó un detalle sobre «los organismos del Estado y/o las empresas estatales o con participación estatal que en los últimos 6 meses hayan acordado pauta publicitaria o hayan destinado sumas de dinero a la Asociación del Futbol Argentino (AFA)».
«No solo recibí y recibo insultos (de todo tipo), sino que además mis compañeros están siendo agredidos y reviento de culpa. Esto que inventaron, además de afectarme a mi, afecta a Mundo Selección y a todo un equipo que trabaja en redes y distintos proyectos hace años sin meterse en política«, completó.

Esto, que era mi sueño, lo conseguí por mi cuenta, pero me comí el garrón de ser el «hijo de». Para dejar de perjudicar a mis compañeros, mi decisión personal es regresar. Con mis 17 años no puedo emocionalmente seguir adelante.
Los que me conocen saben la clase de persona que soy y los valores que me inculcaron, también son testigos de mi conocimiento y amor por el futbol. Las redes y mi pasión me llevaron a que por mérito personal me elijan para generar contenido, entretener e informar como decenas de influencers. ¿Por qué el escarchado soy yo? Porque nací en una familia de políticos y dan por hecho que no puedo ganarme nada solo.
Entiendo que para algunos todo lo que tenga ver conmigo «es política». Me cuesta imaginar que sea así para siempre y me es difícil ver a «periodistas» reconocidos permitiendo el escrache a un pibe con insultos y calumnias. Todos saben que lo que están difundiendo es absolutamente mentira.
Yo estaba trabajando, tenía un mini proyecto con lo que me apasiona en la vida. Tengo 17 años, quería ser feliz trabajando de lo que me gusta. Me equivoqué al enojarme por los inventos, sí, pero hago lo mejor que puedo. Estoy aprendiendo a manejarme en este mundo en el que viven mis viejos, no yo.
Para la tranquilidad de todos, me regreso a Argentina. Gracias a los que se esforzaron tanto para arruinarme un sueño. Voy a seguir con mi vida y voy a ser feliz, aunque me ensucien cada vez que intente dar un paso adelante en mi vida.
