Através de las inquietudes que manifiestan los vecinos en las distintas recorridas en el barrio Itaembé Miní, el subsecretario de Ordenamiento Territorial dependiente del ministerio de Ecología, Martín Recamán, presentó una propuesta de planificación para la recuperación del arroyo Mártires, desde el barrio Esperanza hasta la avenida Quaranta, en un tramo de unos 4 kilómetros en forma paralela a la Avenida 147.
El margen del arroyo Mártires está integrado por tierras estatales que representan un espacio paisajístico para la zona y que puede ser trabajado y aprovechado como un pulmón verde para el disfrute de todos los vecinos, tomando en cuenta la cuestión ambiental a través de la recuperación del cauce, dándole más amplitud.
Además este espacio cuenta con canchas de fútbol y hockey, donde se prevé dotar de más infraestructura para el desarrollo de las actividades deportivas en el barrio y poder sumar otras disciplinas.
La recuperación de este espacio incluye también el desarrollo económico, con la propuesta de brindar espacios para feriantes que se agrupan a lo largo de la avenida 147 impulsando así la economía local y el emprendedurismo.
En el aspecto social y cultural, se procura crear espacios como anfiteatros para el desarrollo de diversas actividades culturales, como también espacios para huertas comunitarias, fomentando así la participación de los vecinos a través de una visión sostenible de los recursos.
