La Policía de Misiones fue comisionada al barrio en cuestión por el Centro Integral de Operaciones (CIO 911). Al arribar a inmediaciones a la avenida Cocomarola, observaron a un joven tirado sobre el asfalto.
La víctima por medio de balbuceo se identificó como Agustín D. de 22 años, con domicilio en el barrio San Lorenzo de la capital provincial. El mismo manifestó que iba en compañía de una mujer, fue increpado por un joven quien le sustrajo el celular y al intentar defenderse, fue apuñalado en el pecho.
Se procedió de manera inmediata a solicitar ambulancia y realizar maniobras de RCP hasta el arribo del personal de salud, quienes trasladaron al lesionado hacia el Hospital Madariaga.
