Cientos de simpatizantes del expresidente brasileño, Jair Bolsonaro, invadieron este el Congreso en Brasilia mientras otros comenzaron a ingresar el Palacio del Planalto, sede de la Presidencia y algunos rodearon el Palacio de Justicia.
Días atrás el líder de ultraderecha Bolsonaro, que se refugió en Estados Unidos, prometió a sus seguidores que aguarden «novedades» inminentes, dijeron grupos de ultraderecha en el estado de Florida.
El asalto al Capitolio versión local
Ese comentario, pareció confirmar la intención del excapitán de cumplir su amenaza de perpetrar en Brasil la versión local del asalto al Capitolio ocurrida en enero de 2021, por parte de seguidores de Donald Trump.
Los manifestantes lograron bloquear los puestos de la Policía Militar de Brasilia y avanzaron por la avenida principal de Brasilia tras lo cual tomaron el Palacio del Parlamento mientras algunos comenazaro asaltar el Palacio del Planalto, sede de la Presidencia, ubicado a unos 300 metros del Legislativo. en la zona este de la ciudad.
Parte de la horda llegó procedente del Cuartel General del Ejército, donde fue montado un campamento demandando un golpe de Estado y contra el «fraude» que habría permitido el triunfo de Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
Entretanto no se descarta que el presidente, Lula da Silva, que se encuentra en San Pablo regrese a Brasilia en las próximas horas, informó radio CBN del grupo Globo.
En la madrugada de este domingo la noche del sábado llegaron a Brasilia colectivos desde varios estados que no fueron abordados por la Policía Militar de Brasilia, al frente de la cual está el secretario de Seguridad Anderon Torres , un conocido bolsonarista que fue ministro de Justicia hasta fine de diciembre.
Tampoco hubo una respuesta rápida de la policía brasiliense para impedir el ataque al Planalto.
Parte de los manifestantes partieron desde el Cuartel del Ejército en la zona oeste de Brasilia.
