El grupo Arcor registró un fuerte salto en sus ganancias en 2021: alcanzaron los $19.918 millones (aproximadamente US$184 millones al tipo de cambio oficial), frente a los $5441,8 millones del ejercicio anterior. En la empresa controlada por la familia Pagani informaron que sus resultados operativos sufrieron una caída interanual y precisaron que el aumento de los beneficios se explica por un tema financiero.
En la presentación de sus resultados, Arcor señaló a través de un comunicado que sus ventas en 2021 alcanzaron los $301.186 millones, con un aumento del 12,7% en pesos. La suba fue “traccionada por la recuperación de las ventas de los negocios en el exterior y por la incorporación, desde el mes de agosto, de los efectos generados por el acuerdo del joint venture con Ingredion Argentina”.
Las operaciones en el país constituyeron el 67,4% de las ventas consolidadas del grupo, mientras que las ventas en el exterior representaron el 32,6% restante. En el caso puntual de las operaciones argentinas, en la empresa señalaron que la suba en las ganancias no se debe a una mejor perfomance de sus negocios locales, sino al impacto financiero que tuvo en su balance la apreciación del peso.

“En 2021 continuó el deterioro del resultado operativo, que alcanzó los $22.047 millones. Este resultado representa una disminución del 19,6% con respecto al mismo período del año anterior, ocasionado principalmente por el incremento de la estructura de costos debido al sostenido proceso inflacionario de la Argentina y al aumento de las materias primas a nivel internacional, en una proporción superior al aumento del precio de las ventas”, explicaron en la compañía.
Además, precisaron el efecto contable que tuvo la apreciación del peso. “Pese al deterioro de la performance operativa, el resultado final se ha visto favorecido por una reducción del cargo en los resultados financieros, debida principalmente a la apreciación en términos reales de la moneda en la Argentina, que genera una ganancia, mientras que, durante el mismo período del año anterior, se reconocía una pérdida por este mismo concepto”, precisaron.
Arcor es la principal empresa de alimentos de la Argentina, el mayor productor mundial de caramelos duros y el exportador N°1 de golosinas de la Argentina, Chile y Perú. Cuenta con más de cuarenta plantas productoras y en sus planes para 2022 figura la inauguración de su primera fábrica en Angola.
