Tras el impacto los ocupantes del rodado menor recibieron lesiones graves y fueron trasladados al hospital Samic. Horas más tarde se conoció el fallecimiento Rodrigo José Lemes de 10 años.
Al arribar al sitio, los efectivos constataron que el Gol circulaba en sentido Dos de Mayo-Salto Encantado cuando embistió a una moto de150cc; dando como resultado múltiples lesiones graves a los miembros de la familia. Inmediatamente, luego de ser atendidos por personal de salud, fueron trasladados al Hospital Samic de Oberá y al ser examinados por el médico de la guardia, diagnóstico sin riego de vida a los dos adultos y al menor de 9 meses. En cuanto a José, solicitó asistencia mecánica por presentar riesgo de vida y ser derivado de urgencia al Hospital Escuela Ramón Madariaga de la ciudad de Posadas.
Con respecto al conductor del automotor, no sufrió lesiones; pero el test de alcoholemia le dio positivo. De la igual manera se le realizó el examen al conductor de la motocicleta que dio negativo. Es por ello que, el hombre de 60 fue detenido y los vehículos secuestrados y alojados en la comisaría a disposición de la justicia.
En las primeras horas de hoy, se conoció a través de los profesionales de Hospital Samic de Oberá, que Rodrigo José Lemes de 10 años, dejó de existir en el momento en que era trasladado al Hospital de la ciudad de Posadas. Consecuentemente, el Juzgado de Instrucción Uno de Oberá ordenó que el cuerpo fuera entregado a sus familiares para posterior velatorio.
