Herrera Ahuad: “El Mundial posiciona a Misiones como polo deportivo en la región”
Con un gran espectáculo artístico y una notable goleada de la Selección Argentina, dio inicio este domingo el Mundial de Fútbol de Salón Femenino “Misiones 2023” en Montecarlo. Precisamente, el gobernador Oscar Herrera Ahuad, acompañado por el vicepresidente primero de la Cámara de Representantes, Hugo Passalacqua, y el intendente local, Jorge Lovato, asistió al colorido acto inaugural en el polideportivo municipal. En diálogo con Canal 12, el mandatario aseguró que la realización de estos eventos, “reafirman las políticas públicas deportivas, con una infraestructura que permite recibir torneos mundiales”.
En ese sentido, el mandatario destacó que la provincia “se posiciona como un polo deportivo en la región, con la infraestructura necesaria para albergar este tipo de competencias”. Además, el remarcó que una vez, Misiones demostró que puede generar este tipo de espectáculos, con instalaciones de primer nivel “que son un placer ponerlas a disposición de las diferentes federaciones”.
Herrera Ahuad adelantó que además de Montecarlo, acompañará a la Selección Argentina en las diferentes sedes: Puerto Rico, Posadas, Wanda y Oberá. Por otra parte, enfatizó que por su característica de contar con una población joven, “hay que seguir apostando e invirtiendo en infraestructura deportiva para Misiones, por el entusiasmo que le pone el pueblo”.
Comienzo alentador
La primera jornada del certamen tuvo como protagonistas a las chicas argentinas que derrotaron a las representantes de México por un contundente 8 a 0, en uno de los encuentro correspondientes al Grupo A. Verónica Cabrera, Florencia Arce en dos ocasiones, Tatiana Colisnishemko, Melina Gutiérrez, Luna Tucci, Merick Artisco en contra y Yanina Barboza, fueron las autoras de los goles muy celebrados por el público que colmó las tribunas del Polideportivo Municipal.
En ese contexto, el Gobernador confesó que “uno siempre quiere que nuestra selección esté en lo más alto”. También destacó el potencial del seleccionado albiceleste, “hay una base muy importante y un gran trabajo. Esperemos que el pueblo misionero vuelva a disfrutar nuevamente de un campeón argentino”.
