El diputado del Frente de Todos Leonardo Grosso recordó que «el Senado de la provincia de Corrientes se opuso en 2020 al tratamiento de la Ley de Humedales en el Congreso». Lo hizo durante un debate en Minuto Uno, del que también participaron el diputado del Frente de Izquierda Unidad por Jujuy, Alejandro Vilca, y el exdirector de la Federación Agraria Argentina, Pedro Peretti.
«La actividad económica afecta sin dudas al ecosistema. El modelo que hoy viene funcionando en la Argentina es el de ‘hago lo que quiero tranquera para adentro’. Y lo que no regula el Estado, después de alguna manera el mercado lo termina destruyendo», explicó el referente del Movimiento Evita, quien preside la Comisión de Recursos Naturales y Conservación del Ambiente Humano en el parlamento, en diálogo con Gustavo Sylvestre.
Por su parte, Vilca opinó que «la Ley de Humedales durmió en el Congreso por una decisión política del Gobierno».
«Hay que avanzar cuanto antes con esto. La demora es una decisión política que ha tomado el Gobierno, porque ni siquiera apareció en el listado de las propuestas para las sesiones extraordinarias. Hay que enfrentarse a estos sectores que toman a los humedales como negocio«, aseguró el diputado de izquierda.
Peretti, en tanto, advirtió que «el 85% de los focos de Corrientes son intencionales» y explicó que la principal resistencia a la Ley de Humedales deviene de que «los humedales son un recurso de una ganadería de bajo costo, ya que se realiza sobre pastos naturales. No hay que resembrar, no hay que hacer nada, y eso es muy rentable».
