Para el equipo oriental será la tercera participación consecutiva en el torneo. Mientras que el auriazul regresará a las competencias nacionales. Por el momento, ambos equipos continúan con la puesta a punto de cara al debut. Este viernes, desde las 21.30, jugarán un amistoso en la cancha de Mitre, así cerrarán la preparación antes de sus primeros partidos. El ingreso será un alimento no perecedero.
En cuanto al inicio de la temporada, Tokio debutará el 5 de febrero como local ante Sarmiento de Formosa y Mitre lo hará al día siguiente en Corrientes, en donde enfrentará al Club Córdoba. La participación de estos equipos en el torneo, además de reflejar el crecimiento del básquet local, generará movimiento turístico y económico importante en la capital con el arribo de las delegaciones de otras provincias.
En la presentación del pasado miércoles estuvieron presentes el vicegobernador Carlos Arce, el intendente Leonardo Stelatto, el ministro de Deportes, Javier Corti; el presidente de Mitre, Marcelo Dei Castelli, y el vice Sebastián Macías, el tesorero de Tokio, Carlos Silvestrini; los técnicos Agustín Ponissi del japonés y Franco Gutiérrez de los auriazules, además de cinco jugadores de cada entidad.
