“En la Comunidad Europea ningún país puede hacer con su economía lo que le da la gana”, subrayó y agregó: “Necesitamos entrar en algún sistema donde a nuestra dirigencia no le permitan hacer cualquier dislate con la economía como venimos haciendo hace 80 años y le echamos la culpa al Fondo Monetario Internacional”.
Para Rico uno de los problemas de Argentina es la ampliación del Estado: “El Estado no genera riqueza, la riqueza la generan los particulares, el pueblo trabajando, invirtiendo, el estado consume la riqueza que produce un pueblo que trabaja y en muchos lugares como Argentina, esa riqueza se la despilfarra o se la roba, porque la patria es un negocio”.
También destacó los valores que él cree centrales: “Prudencia, justicia, fortaleza y templanza son las cuatro virtudes cardinales o morales”. “Prudencia es lo que nos hace ver las cosas tal cual son y justicia es darle a cada uno lo que le corresponde, el que trabaja tiene que ganar y el que no no”, detalló.

Aldo Rico aseguró que la fuerza rusa no arrasa porque “los ucranianos están haciendo una resistencia notable a pesar de que Europa los dejó solos”. “Todos creen que Putin es Stalin o Lenin y es el Zar Nicolás”, añadió.
“Es una guerra civil porque tienen la misma etnia”, caracterizó y cuestionó el rol de Europa en el conflicto. “El problema grave que veo ahí es una Europa sin liderazgos, sin ejército”, comenzó. “Europa está muerta, ha olvidado todas sus tradiciones ha olvidado que es el lugar donde ha nacido la libertad y los derechos políticos y sociales”, subrayó.

Sobre su rol la guerra de Argentina con ingleses de 1982, Rico dijo que había una diferencia de combatientes favorable para los británicos de 10 a 1, pero que lo que fue determinante en la derrota tuvo que ver con el “desnivel tecnológico”.
También expresó otra de sus opiniones en relación a los movimientos en guerra: “El jefe no se enmascara, porque cuando el subalterno en combate tiene dudas busca a sus jefes y tiene que poder encontrarlo”. “Yo no soy excombatiente, soy veterano, si hay que combatir vamos a combatir de nuevo”, remarcó e insistió: “Los que combatimos por la patria vamos a seguir combatiendo por la patria”.
Sobre Malvinas también aclaró que él “iba contento a pelear”, pero que “solo a una mente febril se le podía ocurrir” que Estados Unidos apoyaría a Argentina. “El soldado argentino hizo un esfuerzo extraordinario”, concluyó.
