Tres personas murieron este viernes y una cuarta resultó herida de gravedad cuando el auto a bordo del cual eran perseguidos por la policía desde la localidad bonaerense de Bancalari chocó contra un camiòn que estaba estacionado en la autopista Panamericana, ramal Campana, a metros del peaje de Ricardo Rojas, informaron fuentes policiales.
El episodio se inició pasadas las 3.30 cuando personal del Centro Operativo Tigre (COT) alertó a una patrulla sobre la presencia de un Volkswagen Vento negro, patente MDG 702, detenido con ocupantes en la zona de Bancalari, en una actitud que consideraron sospechosa.
Según la información policial, cuando los policías de la patrulla se aproximaron, les hicieron señas de luces e intentaron identificar a las personas que estaban a bordo, el auto aceleró y escapó.
Por tal motivo, según los voceros, se inició una persecución por la colectora de la Panamericana y, al pasar el peaje que está a la altura de la fábrica Henry Ford, a la altura del kilometros 33,7, el Vento quedó fuera de control e impactó contra un camion que estaba detenido en la banquina.
El choque provocó la muerte en el acto de tres de los ocupantes del Vento, mientras que una cuarta persona, un hombre, fue trasladado en grave estado al hospital de Don Torcuato, añadieron los informantes.
Los voceros dijeron que, al momento del impacto, el Vento tenía un neumático roto, por lo que se investiga si la policía disparó durante la persecución.
En principio, lo informantes manifestaron que los efectivos habrían tirado con postas de goma, lo que es ahora materia de investigación.
A raíz del choque, trabajaban en el lugar efectivos de la Policía de Seguridad Vial, bomberos voluntarios de General Pacheco y personal de Gendarmería Nacional, con asistencia de la empresa concesionaria de la autopista, Ausol.
Minutos antes de las 7.30, el tránsito vehicular comenzó a ser desviado hacia la colectora, mientras los bomberos continúan con los trabajos para retirar los cuerpos del automóvil.
Por el momento se desconoce la identidad de los fallecidos y de la persona herida.
Una mujer, que arribó al lugar del choque buscando a su hija, dijo a la prensa: «Yo quisiera saber qué pasó. No sé sí esta viva o esta muerta. Yo quisiera saber qué paso».
«Ella me mandó un mensaje a las 4.30: ´Mamá, estoy llorando. Nos persigue la policía y no sé por qué´. No supe nada más». Vi la ubicación por la aplicación y acá estoy. Mi hija había ido a tomar algo, era la primera vez que salía con ese chico. Tengo que ver si es uno de los muertos», dijo a la prensa una la mujer desesperada.
Por su parte, Armando, el chofer del camión contra el cual chocó el Vento, contó: «Yo estaba durmiendo y me despertó el impacto. Salgo de la cabina y veo a una mujer del lado del acompañante que estaba destrozado. Parece que venían de una persecución. Estaban destrozados adentro y se llevan a un cuarto herido».
