La apertura del paso fronterizo de San Antonio a Brasil potenciará el comercio y el turismo local
El cruce de turistas entre Misiones y Brasil mantiene gran afluencia. Es por eso que a partir de febrero se suma una nueva alternativa para apaciguar y facilitar los trámites a los visitantes. Comenzará a funcionar el paso fronterizo de San Antonio para cruzar a Brasil. Esto se dio debido a que en Santo Antônio do Sudoeste (Brasil) finalmente incorporaron el sector de Migraciones para hacer los trámites.
Con esto se esperan mayores beneficios para el municipio, más precisamente en el sector comercial, hotelero y en la carga de combustibles. Además que los misioneros que opten por visitar las playas brasileñas tengan una opción más para cruzar la frontera, ya que si hay largas filas en Irigoyen, es probable que los elijan pasar por San Antonio.
En principio, el cruce funcionará de 7 a 19, de lunes a sábado para el ingreso y egreso de turistas oriundos de ambos países. Aunque se espera que esté habilitado las 24 horas. El mismo integra el departamento General Manuel Belgrano y se ubica al norte de Misiones, a pocos kilómetros de Bernardo de Irigoyen.
Estas acciones potencian el turismo y la economía de los municipios, tal es el caso de San Pedro donde aumentó el flujo de turistas brasileños en el paso fronterizo Rosales. Desde la Cámara Regional de Comercio, Industria, Producción y Servicios, manifestaron que hay gran movimiento hacia Brasil y en el sector hotelero del pueblo de parte de brasileños.
