La Confederación Argentina de Fútbol de Salón (CAFS), en conjunto con la Federación Internacional de Fútbol de Salón (FIFuSa) y el Gobierno de Misiones comunicaron que el Mundial de Futsal Femenino se llevará a cabo en Misiones del 5 al 11 de marzo. Contará con la participación de diez selecciones: Colombia, Estados Unidos, Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Chile, Francia, Brasil, Paraguay y México.
Esta competencia, que fue postergada el año pasado, genera gran expectativa y se transforma en un acontecimiento histórico para la provincia. Es que por primera vez verá a las mejores jugadoras del mundo que competirán en busca de la copa.
La competencia se disputará en cinco sedes: Montecarlo, Posadas, Oberá, Puerto Rico y Wanda.
El sorteo, que determinará los cruces de la ronda inicial, se realizará el lunes 13 de febrero, a las 19, en vivo por Canal 12, con la participación de las autoridades.
En 2019, se desarrolló el mundial masculino y fue un éxito organizativo. Se coronó con la consagración argentina y se espera repetir el mismo resultado este año de la mano del equipo femenino.
