En esta misma línea, Derna manifestó que recibe compradores de toda la Provincia, que en su mayoría son feriantes posadeños.
La provincia de Misiones es la principal productora de ananá. El grueso de la producción en la localidad de Colonia Aurora, a 177 kilómetros de Posadas. La región privilegiada para el cultivo también incluye a las localidades de Alba Posse y Santa Rita, históricas zonas productoras. Las plantaciones son totalmente naturales, sin ningún tipo de agroquímicos u otro producto similar que altere las propiedades de la fruta, consiguiendo un sabor mucho más dulce y natural.
