Autotest de Covid-19: cuáles aprobó ANMAT y cuánto cuestan
La ANMAT aprobó los productos de cuatro laboratorios, que comenzarán a comercializarse cuando consigan el último visto bueno. Instrucciones del Ministerio de Salud y su precio.
La Administración Nacional de Medicamentos, Alimentos y Tecnología Médica (ANMAT) aprobó finalmente el uso de los autotest y se espera que en los próximos días se habilite su comercialización en las farmacias de todo el país. Esto llega en un pico de 95 mil casos registrados, con los centros de testeos desbordados y se apuesta a que esto libere.
En la resolución de la ANMAT se le dio el visto bueno a los autotest de cuatro laboratorios distintos. Estos son Abbott, Roche, Vyam Group y Wiener. «Estos son de orientación diagnóstica y los usuarios deben recoger la muestra por sí mismos en base a las instrucciones de los fabricantes», se informó oficialmente.
Las instrucciones del Ministerio de Salud sobre el autotest
En el comunicado oficial donde se aprobó el uso de estos productos, el Ministerio de Salud dio una serie de instrucciones que deben tenerse en cuenta a la hora de practicarse un autotest.
En el escrito detallan, entre otros puntos:
- «A diferencia de los test de uso profesional donde la toma de muestra es a nivel nasofaríngeo, en el caso de los test de autoevaluación se realiza a nivel nasal o bien por saliva, según lo especifique el fabricante».
- «Son de orientación diagnóstica y los usuarios deben recoger la muestra por sí mismos en base a las instrucciones de los fabricantes».
- «Es muy importante que la toma de muestra se lleve a cabo en forma correcta» y que «de inmediato se realice la prueba para evitar resultados erróneos».
- «Es necesario tener en cuenta que si la persona no tiene síntomas o si la carga viral es baja (lo que puede ocurrir durante los días iniciales o finales de la infección) el virus puede ser no detectado por el test».
- «Un resultado negativo no descarta la infección«.

Con la aprobación de la ANMAT queda todo listo para que se apruebe ahora la comercialización y comiencen a venderse estos productos en las farmacias, donde los cuatro laboratorios competirán y buscarán tener el precio más bajo.
La mayoría de los insumos para la producción, y en algunos casos el total del producto, es importado. Esto implica que las compañías farmacéuticas deben tramitar los permisos necesarios para hacerlo.
Una vez resuelto el trámite aduanero se establecerá un precio que se calcula que será entre los 2.000 y 3000 pesos. Esto es menos de la mitad de lo que cobra un laboratorio privado el test de antígenos que no baja de 6 mil pesos.
