Magdalena Espósito Valenti y Abigail Páez conocerán en dos semanas el veredicto por el crimen de Lucio.
Después de 18 audiencias a puertas cerradas, el juicio oral por el crimen de Lucio Dupuy llegó a su fin y las dos imputadas, la mamá del nene de cinco años asesinado en La Pampa y la novia de la mujer, tuvieron la oportunidad de decir sus últimas palabras ante los jueces. El 2 de febrero se conocerá el veredicto.
«A muchos les parecerá mal que no esté llorando, pero me mentalicé para ser lo más fuerte posible para poder hablar claramente. A Lucio lo lloro en privado, me parece más humano que hacerlo delante de personas que no me conocen a mí, ni conocieron a Lucio», manifestó en su alegato final Magdalena Espósito Valenti, la madre de la víctima.
Después, en relación a las responsabilidades, señaló: «Se me critica a mí, pero no al progenitor -porque padre le queda grande-. A él se lo justifica cuando la responsabilidad era de los dos». «En todo momento él (Cristian Dupuy) se desentendió de la criatura», afirmó.
En tanto, su pareja, Abigail Páez, expresó: «Todo lo que puedan decir de mí es horrible, por eso le pido perdón a las personas que se hayan sentido tocadas por el tema y por toda esta situación, y que lo lloran y lo extrañan como me pasa a mí y a su mamá».
Y concluyó: «También quiero pedirles disculpas a mi familia y a mi mamá porque les fallé, porque ella no me enseñó estas cosas. No sé realmente lo que pasó, tengo muchas lagunas en la cabeza, y si no conté detalles es porque estoy muy traumada. Sé que él (por Lucio) me perdonó. Ojalá yo me pueda perdonar».
A casi catorce meses del asesinato, el jueves 2 de febrero, los jueces Aníbal Olié, Alejandra Ongaro y Daniel Sáez Zamora darán a conocer el veredicto sobre Espósito Valenti y Páez en la causa que investiga el asesinato a golpes y abuso sexualmente de Lucio, delitos por los que la acusación pidió prisión perpetua.

En una carta púbica que compartió a través de su perfil de Facebook, Christian Dupuy expresó cuánto extraña y recuerda a su hijo y cuán devastador fue verlo en un ataúd.
«Te extraño. Lo he intentado y es inútil, llevo un tiempo tratando de soltarte pero es totalmente inútil intentar olvidar algo que está y siempre estuvo tan dentro de mí», comenzó.
«Es imposible olvidar la sensación de cuando llegaste al mundo y te entregaron a mí envuelto en mantitas, imposible olvidar lo desgarrador y doloroso (que fue) verte en un cajón, cuando la ley de la vida dice que un hijo debe enterrar a su padre y no así como pasó», lamentó.
Además, recordó cuánto tiempo pasó desde el día del crimen que conmocionó al país: «Un año y 2 meses y sigo sin entender, y aún nadie me ha dado explicaciones de por qué pasó todo esto. Una tortura constante vive en mí, recordando esa hermosa risa, y tu vocecita diciéndome ´papi'».
Finalmente, cerró la carta con un emotivo saludo: «Tu hermana sigue nombrándote, no te olvida y nunca lo va a hacer porque tu recuerdo vive en nosotros y, con el amor que te tenemos, jamás podremos olvidarte.
