La transformación integral del Parque de la Ciudad de Posadas responde a un viejo anhelo de los vecinos. Este pulmón verde es el epicentro de encuentro recreativo de centenares de familias, jóvenes y niños para sus ratos de ocio, esparcimiento y actividad deportiva. Hoy luce totalmente renovado.
Las obras ejecutadas responden además al crecimiento poblacional y a la expansión que ha tenido la capital misionera hacia la zona oeste durante los últimos tres años. Como el desarrollo urbano de barrios, como Itaembé Guazú, con más de 40 mil habitantes y en pleno crecimiento, la actividad empresarial del Parque Industrial, los eventos y talleres del Parque del Conocimiento y el gran movimiento que genera -y generará- el recién inaugurado Silicon Misiones.
El secretario de Obras y Servicios Públicos de la ciudad, Daniel Vigo, dijo que “es una puesta en valor, que hace muchísimos años no se hacía”. Se instalaron juegos modernos para que los chicos disfruten con sus familias. Además, una plaza inclusiva que posee senderos con rampas reglamentarias y los sanitarios correspondientes para personas con discapacidad.
El jueves el intendente Leonardo “Lalo” Stelatto presentó el equipo que quiere que lo acompañe desde el Concejo Deliberante. Justamente eligió este espacio público para reivindicar el concepto de ciudad que busca construir: moderna, inclusiva y sustentable. Una capital conectada y planificada no solo para quienes circulan por el centro, sino por sobre todo en los barrios.
“Posadas como la ciudad con mayor superficie de espacios verdes por habitante del país, con sus 23 metros cuadrados de espacio verde por habitante y sus 27 metros cuadrados de espacio verde por habitante proyectados, que demuestra el interés municipal y provincial en la protección ambiental y la creación de grandes pulmones verdes para las generaciones presentes y futuras”, destacó el intendente.
Impulsar la actividad física
Los puntos fundamentales fueron las mejoras de movilidad, así como impulsar el desplazamiento sustentable y la actividad física. “Estamos por inaugurar el patio de comidas que ya se ha concesionado, hemos complementado con 3.200 metros de ciclovías pavimentadas. En donde hemos recuperado un espacio que estaba orientado hacia el aeropuerto de aproximadamente 1.200 metros para caminatas y recreación”, continuó Vigo.
De esta manera, se mejora un espacio para caminar, andar en bici y que además comunica con la antigua pista de atletismo también renovada y puesta en valor.
El secretario de Movilidad Urbana, Lucas Jardín, explicó el trabajo integral que se realizó durante cinco meses. “Trabajamos en la obra del SUM y el sector gastronómico -pronto a inaugurarse- y se logró cambiar la mirada sobre la funcionalidad de este espacio”, detalló.
También se prevén reformas de infraestructura para potenciar los espacios deportivos, en este sentido Jardín indicó que se desarrollaron nuevas canchas de fútbol y se conectó con senderos el sector oeste.
Jardín detalló que se trabajó en la organización del espacio para darle mayor utilidad y aprovechamiento. “Se construyeron y demarcaron los estacionamientos. Hay que tener en cuenta que mucha gente viene con auto y tienen que poder acceder con comodidad, seguridad y orden”.
La nueva costanera
Mientras los funcionarios explicaban las obras, recorrían el lugar distintos periodistas. Muchos con casi 40 años aprovecharon el paseo para recordar su infancia en este lugar emblemático: los juegos en “la chancha”, hecha con tambores de combustible, o las hamacas de neumáticos. Hoy, se puede observar un espacio lúdico pensado incluso para personas con discapacidad.
Tiene mobiliarios de primera calidad y seguro. Cuenta con una estación con techo, escalera de ingreso con baranda, trepador recto en forma de pasamanos, dos toboganes cerrados y un puente que une a todas las estaciones. Una calesita como también un sube y baja completan el área didáctica, situada en el medio de este remozado punto de esparcimiento.
“El Parque es una expansión urbana y territorial, debido al crecimiento de la ciudad, va a ser un punto neurálgico, cada vez va a estar más en el centro y se va a integrar con el CEPARD, el Parque del Conocimiento y toda la expansión del sector. Va a ser por excelencia la nueva costanera para los vecinos de Itaembé Guazú”, subrayó Jardín.
Hay ejecuciones que en breve se habilitarán. “El SUM de uso municipal y público tiene un avance del 50%, está habilitado el kiosco y dentro de dos semanas estará disponible el servicio de comidas, se van a remodelar íntegramente los playones deportivos con canchas de básquet y vóley y también restaurar la pista de atletismo. Además se construirá el arco de ingreso”, añadió Vigo.
Ambos funcionarios explicaron que se trabaja arduamente en la seguridad e iluminación para darle el mayor tiempo posible de utilidad. El Parque, que está abierto las 24 horas, cuenta además con limpieza diaria, seguridad, personal policial, parrillas y baños, que están abiertos hasta las 21:00.
Detalle de las obras
El Centro de Atención al Visitante tiene 110 metros cuadrados. Cuenta con una sala de conferencias, pantallas para proyecciones y equipo de audio. En el área de la cantina, se expandió la superficie semicubierta, con espacio para un patio gastronómico, lo que brinda mayor comodidad a los usuarios. Mejoraron el interior del lugar y reacondicionaron la cocina, con elementos de primer nivel. El Salón de Usos Múltiples alcanza los 680 metros cuadrados y está pensado para las actividades culturales y sociales.

Las obras de accesibilidad incluyen el mejoramiento del acceso principal y las colectoras de la ruta 12. El acceso está planificado para una buena circulación peatonal y vehicular, a través del asfaltado completo, que se extiende desde el pórtico de ingreso hacia el interior de este espacio natural.
Se construyó la vereda que conecta el Centro de Atención al Visitante, el área de juegos y el bar, que tiene un tamaño aproximado de 520 m2. Como dice el intendente aún queda mucho por hacer. “Entendimos que inclusión y sustentabilidad no debían operar como conceptos vacíos, sino plasmarse en políticas de estado claras y consistentes. No puede haber inclusión sin acceso a derechos, y es obligación del Estado proveer las condiciones para que la ciudadanía pueda disfrutarlos en plenitud. No puede haber sustentabilidad sin equilibrio entre actividad humana y ambiente, es obligación del Estado preservar la naturaleza, el paisaje y los recursos naturales para las generaciones presentes y futuras”.
