La ministra de Mujeres, Géneros y Diversidad, Elizabeth Gómez Alcorta, se expresó sobre el hecho de violación grupal a una joven ocurrido en el barrio porteño de Palermo y negó que se haya tratado de un «caso aislado». «No son monstruos, son varones socializados en esta sociedad», remarcó la funcionaria.
“No se trata ni de hechos aislados, ni de hechos que estén vinculados a personas, varones, con algún problema en particular”, insistió la ministra. En diálogo con la TV Pública, que el desarrollo e implementación de la Educación Sexual Integral (ESI) es “clave” frente a este tipo de delitos.
«Eso implica que todos tenemos que comprometernos«, aseguró. Sobre los seis jóvenes de entre 20 y 24 años que fueron acusados de violar a la víctima en un auto estacionado sobre la calle Serrano al 1.300, pidió en no llamarlos «monstruos». Sobre esto, argumentó que de lo contrario «pareciera que el problema está en algunos individuos que tienen algunos problemas, y no en la sociedad«.
«Así como nosotras aprendemos a cuidarnos y a saber cuáles son los riesgos, los varones también aprenden ciertas prácticas: la práctica de que nuestros cuerpos, nuestra vida, no tienen valor», añadió.
«Lo que falta es cambiar la matriz de la sociedad», aseveró, al mismo tiempo que sostuvo que existe una «lógica corporativa» entre los hombres. «Quizás algún varón puede sentir que está mal, pero tiene costo decirlo y salirse de lo corporativo, de la cofradía: ese es el modo en que se socializa», explicó.

Sobre el trabajo que realizan desde el Gobierno nacional, Gómez Alcorta aclaró que «una sociedad marcada por esta matriz en dos años no se cambia».
Entonces, lanzó: «Necesitamos más Ley Micaela (Capacitación Obligatoria en Género para quienes integran los tres poderes del Estado) más presupuesto, que todos los gobiernos locales creen áreas de género y desaprender siglos de violencias».
