El Éxito de Flybondi que obliga a preguntar por Aerolíneas
La Low Cost, Flybondi, aseguró que, desde la reanudación de los vuelos, transportó un 30% más de pasajeros y que mantendrá su objetivo de captar más viajeros.
La Low Cost argentina Flybondi, que cumplió cuatro años de operaciones en el país, anunció que en el verano 2021/22 transportó 4 millones de pasajeros desde su creación y que el 30% de las personas lo hicieron luego de la reanudación de los vuelos en el país, en diciembre del año pasado.
La compañía a fines de enero de 2018 debutó bajo un modelo diferente de costos acotados y eficiencia cierta que evidenciaron como la llamada «línea de bandera» resultaba y resulta carísima, para un Estado con problemas económicos serios. Peor aun, por esos días de acuerdos con el FMI, pareciera no estar incluida entre las empresas que necesitan hacer «algunos retoques».
Así hoy, desde las oficinas del poder, resurgen las viejas estrategias de controlar el mercado a favor de Aerolíneas al reimponer la obsoleta banda tarifaria (piso y techo que las compañías deben respetar si quieren volar) y otras condiciones que juegan a favor de un solo destinatario, la compañía estatal.
Esa decisión todo poderosa, conocida el 24 de diciembre de 2021 (Decreto 879/2021), se pensó para borrar a sus competidores.
Fue central para Flybondi salir al mercado sabiendo que el concepto de marca y estrategia era bueno para vincularse con el viajero-consumidor. Algo que Aerolíneas pasa a segundo plano cuando se conduce como una empresa pública más.
Flybondi reconoció que el 20% de las personas que abordaron sus máquinas lo hacían por primera vez en su vida y que además fueron capaces de llevar entre destinos unas 4.000 mascotas.
“Desde que comenzamos a volar hace ya cuatro años, le estamos cambiando la vida a las personas: las que viajaron con nosotros por primera vez; las que se reencontraron con familiares y amigos; las que pudieron conocer el mar, la nieve, las sierras; y tantas otras historias que hay detrás de esos 4 millones de pasajeros y que estamos festejando hoy”, enfatizó Mauricio Sana, CEO de Flybondi.
«Pero el dato más alentador es que 1.222.800 de esos pasajeros viajaron a partir de diciembre de 2021, cuando la compañía retomó sus operaciones luego de levantadas las restricciones que el Gobierno imponía sobre los vuelos comerciales, en el contexto de la pandemia. Y fue en vistas de esa acelerada reactivación de la demanda que la empresa anunció un ambicioso plan de expansión de flota, rutas, frecuencias y personal» agregó el ejecutivo.

Es importante destacar que en los 4 años que la compañía lleva de operaciones en el país, logró difundir el acceso al avión como medio de transporte. En ese sentido y mediante un equipo de Data y Business Intelligence detectó algunos cambios de hábitos de compra y viaje en los pasajeros post pandemia.
Por un lado, observó un aumento de la demanda de los destinos nacionales, donde se valora la oferta turística que tienen las provincias y una búsqueda también por relacionarse con entornos naturales y de aventura.
En los últimos meses los destinos más vendidos fueron Bariloche principalmente, y luego Jujuy, Salta, Mendoza y Córdoba; y la incorporación de Ushuaia tuvo una excelente demanda desde su inauguración y se proyecta la misma aceptación para los próximos meses.
También observó que dependiendo el destino hay un hábito distinto en la anticipación de la compra y en la composición del viaje: muchas personas viajan solas, también hay un aumento de las personas que viajan con uno o más acompañantes, y las que viajan con mascotas. Desde que comenzó a operar, ya volaron 8.452 mascotas, de las cuales la mitad lo hizo en 2021, informó la compañía.
Resumiendo: La empresa sabe que puede crecer más en la medida que detecta continuidad en la recuperación del mercado y para eso resalta que son necesarias políticas de gobierno que generen las condiciones para que las aerolíneas crezcan.
También tienen claro y se lo comunicaron hace menos de un mes en una carta al Jefe de Gabinete y al ministro de transporte de la Nación que «las Low Cost no son competencia para Aerolíneas Argentinas».
Por lo pronto, desde Flybondi, reafirman su propósito fundacional de permitir que «muchas más personas puedan viajar en avión en Argentina y en la región, accediendo a un servicio con estándares de calidad internacionales, seguro y con tarifas bajas».
