Gabriela Cerruti insistió con su idea de que no hay crisis económica en Argentina porque el consumo sigue en alza, pero tuvo que salir a dar explicaciones luego de afirmar en redes sociales que «la gente no llega a fin de mes pero se patina la guita en restaurantes y recitales».
La vocera presidencial se sumó a una charla tuitera en la que se destacaba el nivel de consumo y se ponía en duda la crisis económica, pero terminó lanzando una frase aparentemente irónica que le jugó una mala pasada.
Cerruti intentó justificar por qué el gobierno no difunde como algo positivo los niveles de consumo. «Cada vez que lo intenté tuve una jauría mediática persiguiéndome», escribió. Y luego agregó sobre las presuntas filas en los restaurantes, de las que también habló Alberto: «Lo vemos todos y todas, todo el tiempo. En CABA y también en cada pueblo de las provincias, en cada ciudad del conurbano. Están las redes llenas de fotos. Pero los medios te dicen que es mentira. No es sencillo».

A ese mensaje un tuitero le respondió con un informe de un economista que sostiene que el crecimiento del consumo está vinculado con la pérdida de valor del peso y la imposibilidad de ahorrar o invertir en bienes como departamentos o autos.
«Podría ser solo antigua esa idea si no fuera además un bochorno. La gente no llega a fin de mes, pero se patina la guita en restaurantes y recitales, todos boludos», le respondió Cerruti con ironía.
El problema para la vocera es que los medios se hicieron eco de la frase y en las redes sociales la destrozaron, por lo que tuvo que salir a intentar explicar su frase al mismo tiempo que estaba en Brasil durante la reunión de Alberto Fernández con Lula y otros presidentes.
A pesar de la importancia de ese encuentro internacional, Cerruti se dedicó a responder a varios tuiteros que la cuestionaban. «Nunca dije eso», «es falso», reiteró, además de denunciar «fake news» y «discursos de odio», detalló el medio La Política Online.
