Carlos Tevez aceptó la propuesta de Rosario Central y será su DT
El ex futbolista tendrá su primera experiencia como entrenador para comandar los destinos del club junto al campéón olímpico al frente del seleccionado argentino de hockey masculino, Carlos Retegui, para reemplazar a Leandro Somoza.
Carlos Tevez irrumpió sorpresivamente este jueves en el mundo de los entrenadores de fútbol al aceptar el ofrecimiento de Rosario Central para hacerse cargo del primer equipo, algo que tendrá como punto de partida la presentación oficial a realizarse el próximo martes.
Claro que la llegada de Tevez a su nueva profesión no se produce en un marco de improvisación sino todo lo contrario, porque según comentó el propio «Apache» en una entrevista ofrecida en el canal de televisión América, está trabajando «junto al ‘Chapa’ (Carlos) Retegui desde hace cinco meses en un proyecto muy lindo».
«Es algo que me tiene muy entusiasmado y me genera la misma expectativa que en la época en que empezaba a jugar», confesó Tevez, de 38 años, en esa ocasión, hace 10 días atrás.
Simultáneamente uno de los últimos ídolos boquenses confirmó que su etapa como futbolista estaba definitivamente terminada y que no iba a incursionar en la vida política «xeneize» como había insinuado previamente.
El arribo a un club convulsionado como Rosario Central tanto en el orden deportivo como institucional se produce de la mano del principal empresario futbolístico del país, Christian Bragarnik, quien acompañaría su ingreso con la llegada de algunos futbolistas por él representados para reforzar a un equipo de muy pobre presente futbolístico.
La información sobre el acuerdo de palabra realizado a Télam por fuentes «canallas» indica que la aprobación formal del mismo se llevará a cabo durante la reunión de los 16 integrantes de la Comisión Directiva a realizarse mañana.
Y una vez consumado ese paso se avanzará en el acto de presentación que se produciría el próximo martes, después del fin de semana largo.
Tevez, que al menos de entrada podría invertir el rol de entrenador principal durante los partidos con Retegui por la formalidad de contar con el carnet de entrenador, estará acompañado en el cuerpo técnico por sus hermanos Diego, Miguel y Ariel.
En el marco de su preparación para su nueva función, Tevez estuvo recorriendo Europa en los últimos meses, especialmente Italia, donde se contactó con entrenadores de la talla de Massimiliano Allegri, de Juventus, y Stéfano Poli, del flamante campeón Milan, además del emblemático exfutbolista de ese club, Paolo Maldini.
En cuanto a Retegui, después de sus exitosos pasos por los seleccionados femenino y masculino de hockey sobre césped, Las Leonas y Los Leones, es el actual el secretario de Deporte de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires y analizará seguramente ahora si la nueva tarea es compatible con la función pública.
«El hockey y el fútbol son muy parecidos en el aspecto táctico», supo decir en su momento alguien también surgido de ese deporte que luego triunfó como entrenador de primera división en el fútbol: Ariel Holan.
Justamente Holan, que dirige a la Universidad Católica, de Chile, y salió campeón de la Copa Sudamericana con Independiente en 2017, también condujo a Santos, de Brasil, y León, de México.
En su paso por el hockey fue entrenador del seleccionado femenino de Uruguay y al club Banfield lo hizo ascender cuatro categorías hasta llegar a primera división.
Por supuesto que la carrera de Retegui fue mucho más exitosa y está considerado hoy por hoy como el mejor entrenador argentino de hockey sobre césped de la historia, porque su llegada al fútbol también es un hecho saliente que va en paralelo con el debut de Tevez.
Lo curioso de la llegada de Tevez es que lo hace con el impulso del vicepresidente centralista, Ricardo Carloni, mientras que el presidente, Rodolfo Di Pollina, apoyaba el retorno de un referente futbolístico del club como Pablo «Vitamina» Sánchez, quien al enterarse del inminente arribo del «Apache» dijo a medios locales que él era «el candidato de la oposición, no del oficialismo».
Por lo pronto en octubre próximo habrá elecciones en Rosario Central y habrá que ver como le habrá ido hasta entonces a Tevez, Retegui y compañía. Los colores azul y amarillo seguirán acompañando a «Carlitos» en el fútbol argentino. Se verá si la buena fortuna lo hará en la misma medida que lo hizo en su exitosísima carrera como jugador.
