Aerolíneas Argentinas vs. low cost: cuánto cuestan los pasajes aéreos para volar por el país
Una selección, a modo de muestra, de vuelos destinos tradicionales y las diferencias entre tarifas.
¿Cuánto cuestan los pasajes aéreos? ¿Cuánto más barato es volar en una low cost? ¿Qué ofrecen las diferentes tarifas en cada caso? ¿Cuánto cuesta hoy volar a, por ejemplo, Iguazú?
Varias preguntas y un primer paso: meterse en la web de cada compañía aérea y dedicarse un rato a comparar precios y, especialmente, condiciones. No es lo mismo un pasaje aéreo que permite llevar solo una pequeña mochila de mano que uno que incluye el despacho de equipaje en bodega.
Tampoco es lo mismo un pasaje que permite cambios o devoluciones comparado con otro que no los permite o que hay que pagar importantes sumas por ello.

Pero lo más sencillo es ver los ejemplos concretos. Por eso aquí tomamos algunos de los destinos más buscados de la Argentina y comparamos tarifas para una fecha cualquiera, elegida al azar, pero que no coincidiera con feriados ni vacaciones: lunes 9 al sábado 14 de mayo.
De las Cataratas a Salta
Empecemos por Puerto Iguazú, Misiones, para los que tienen ganas de una escapada a las Cataratas, algo tentador en cualquier momento del año.

En Aerolíneas Argentinas, la tarifa más barata llamada Promo, que no incluye equipaje en bodega, figura -al momento de hacer la búsqueda para este destino- «sin disponibilidad». Así que optamos por la que le sigue, la tarifa Base, que incluye equipaje de mano, equipaje en bodega de hasta 15 kilos. Cambios y devoluciones, con cargo. El vuelo directo, ida y vuelta, cuesta $ 14.710.
Hay variedad de horarios aunque según el elegido el precio puede cambiar y encarecerse: 8.15, 11.05; 12; 15.10; 17.30 o 19.30.

Mismas fechas, pero con la low cost Flybondi. La tarifa del pasaje que incluye solo una mochila de mano de hasta 6 kilos, cuesta $ 9.011.
Si a eso le sumamos una valija de hasta 12 kilos en la bodega, tanto para la ida como para la vuelta, el pasaje cuesta $ 11.809.
Para la ida se puede elegir entre dos horarios: 2.15 o 11.45.

Es el turno de JetSmart, que también vuela a Puerto Iguazú. Con bolso de mano, el pasaje ida y vuelta cuesta $ 8.898 (vale aclarar también que esta tarifa no tiene devolución); con equipaje en bodega, $ 16.182.
Para la ida se puede elegir entre dos horarios: 18.13 (el más barato) o 13.29.
Es importante tener siempre presente que las ventajas de las low cost -acá y en todo el mundo- se empiezan a diluir en cuanto se empiezan a sumar servicios extra a la tarifa básica.
Es decir, el precio del pasaje para viajar con una mochila al hombro y sin importar en qué asiento te toque es realmente ventajoso. Ahora, si se despacha equipaje en bodega, si se lleva carry on, si se quiere elegir ubicación del asiento, esa gran ventaja tarifaria empieza a desdibujarse.
Veamos más ejemplos. Rumbo al Noroeste, un pasaje de Aerolíneas Argentinas a Salta cuesta $ 14.070, con equipaje despachado en bodega (tarifa Base).

Con Flybondi, sin equipaje en bodega, $ 10.164 (vale aclarar que saliendo el 10 de mayo, el pasaje costaría unos $ 800 menos, pero buscamos para el 9, así que allí nos enfocamos). Si despachamos equipaje de hasta 12 kilos, $ 12.962; si despachamos equipaje de hasta 20 kilos, $ 13.562.
Finalmente, el mismo pasaje con JetSmart, con equipaje en bodega, cuesta $ 16.442.

Temporada baja
Tras un verano exitoso y a la espera de la temporada de nieve que suele comenzar a fines de junio, Bariloche tiene precios más tentadores para viajar durante temporada baja.
El vuelo hasta la ciudad estrella de Río Negro, con Aerolíneas Argentinas, tiene una tarifa Promo, las más económica, que no incluye equipaje en bodega, solo equipaje de mano de hasta 8 kilos. Cuesta $ 12.858. La tarifa siguiente (Base), cuesta $ 15.860.
Si el viaje se hace con Flybondi, el pasaje ida y vuelta con equipaje de mano (6 kilos, una mochila), cuesta $ 9.317,48. En cambio, si decidimos agregar equipaje despachado de hasta 12 kilos, el pasaje cuesta $ 12.115. Y si despachamos hasta 20 kilos, $ 12.715.

En JetSmart, el pasaje aéreo ida y vuelta sin equipaje cuesta $ 10.897, mientras que con valija en bodega cotiza a $ 17.902
Además de comparar precios también hay que considerar la cantidad de frecuencias por día o semanales y horarios de salida/llegada, y los aeropuertos de salida y llegada (este último es un factor importante en otros lugares del mundo, donde hay aeropuertos alternativos).

En el caso de Argentina, con el cierre de El Palomar como base de operaciones de las low cost, para quien sale de Buenos Aires las alternativas son tomar vuelos desde Aeroparque Jorge Newbery o Ezeiza.
