Se aplazaron las restricciones de pesca en el río Uruguay, para proteger a las especies del comercio ilegal
La Comisión Administradora del Río Uruguay (CARU) dispuso este jueves extender las restricciones en la pesca por la bajante existente, y con el fin de proteger las especies de interés comercial y deportivo.
Las normativas, fijadas a mediados de 2021 y aplazadas en febrero de 2022 hasta el 31 de diciembre último, se extenderán hasta finales del 2023, de acuerdo con la Resolución 101/2022 publicada en el Boletín Oficial.
Las mismas fijan la veda para la pesca comercial, deportiva y artesanal en el horario nocturno de los días hábiles. En el caso de la comercial y artesanal, para las 24 horas de los días sábados y domingos.
Las restricciones horarias no aplicarán para la pesca “con fines de subsistencia” y de investigación, requiriéndose para esta última una autorización de la CARU.
En el caso de la pesca deportiva, sólo se podrá realizar en los horarios permitidos devolviendo los peces, prohibiéndose la pesca con caña o línea desde la costa sin devolución de piezas.
Además, con la prórroga, se mantendrán la prohibición de pesca en todas las modalidades entre el kilómetro 314,1 y 318,6 del Río Uruguay a la altura de Puerto Yeruá, por encontrarse en dicha área “concentraciones excepcionales de ejemplares de gran tamaño de surubí pintado considerándose particularmente valiosos como reproductores”.
La decisión fue tomada en base a reuniones de trabajo en las cuales participaron asesores de organismos tanto de la Argentina como de Uruguay, al igual que los departamentos de Ambiente y de Hidrología de la CARU.
