Puerto Iguazú se conectará con las Cataratas a través de una ciclovía
La ciudad transformará el sistema vial urbano y turístico a través del circuito aeróbico. Contará con tres tramos distribuidos en 12.6 kilómetros.
Transportes sustentables para promocionar nuevos espacios públicos al aire libre. Puerto Iguazú trabaja en Ñepyru Jeguata –empezar a caminar en idioma guaraní-, la ciclovía que unirá la ciudad con el Parque Nacional. La obra busca reducir la circulación vehicular y la huella de carbono. También, impulsa la actividad deportiva. Con 12, 6 kilómetros, el espacio estará distribuido en tres tramos.
Atilio Guzmán, intendente del Parque Nacional Iguazú, explicó a Canal 12 que el proyecto cuenta con diversos beneficios. “La ciclovía incluye un área para trotar y otra para transitar en bicicleta. La ciudad y el parque son algo que a veces se ven disociadas, entonces este proyecto forma parte de una obra de integración”, detalló.
Para Guzmán, esta obra es positiva porque se reducirá la circulación vehicular hacia el área. También, observó que ayudará a disminuir la huella de carbono que se direcciona hacia el Parque Nacional.
El valor agregado de la ciudad
Las obras representan un potencial espacio recreativo y deportivo para la ciudad. Al respecto, Sonia Weisheim, consultora ambiental del proyecto, explico a Canal 12 que la ciclovía busca favorecer al área turística. Además, pretende contribuir a la salud de las personas. “Hubo una puesta en valor de la actividad ciclista. Acompañar la naturaleza con lo que es el deporte y el ciclismo viene a darle un valor agregado a la ciudad de Iguazú”, remarcó.
El circuito contará con tres tramos distribuidos en 12.6 kilómetros de ciclo vía y senda peatonal. Según detalló Weisheim, el primer tramo “iniciará en Güira Oga en la intersección del museo. Por ese motivo, ya se puso el tendido eléctrico necesario”.
Tres tramos con dársenas de descanso
El tramo 1 del circuito empezará con una dársena de ingreso. Será desde el terreno contiguo a la calle de acceso al Santuario Santa María de Iguazú, frente al museo de Imágenes de la Selva. Según detallaron, el tramo tendrá una longitud de 6.9 kilómetros. Habrá una senda peatonal y bicisenda de H° A°, con dársenas temáticas de descanso cada un kilómetro.
En tanto, el tramo 2 del circuito iniciará en la intersección de la ruta nacional 12 con la ruta nacional 101 y finalizará en el acceso al parque nacional Iguazú. Tendrá una longitud de 3.2 kilómetros y, al igual que el tramo 1, contará con una senda peatonal y bicisenda de H° A°. Las dársenas temáticas de descanso estarán cada un kilómetros.
Por su parte, el tramo 3 iniciará en el camino de acceso al parque y finalizará en la garita de ingreso a Cataratas. Se extenderán a ambos lados del camino de acceso a las Cataratas del Iguazú. De esta manera, se llevará a cabo la bicisenda en la banquina derecha y la senda para uso peatonal en la banquina izquierda.
Sobre el inicio de las obras, la consultora ambiental explicó que empezarán “una vez que estén aprobadas todas las instancias legales administrativas”. En un corto plazo de tiempo, los turistas tendrán un nuevo servicio para llegar al Parque Nacional Iguazú.
Proyectos para la tierra colorada
La Provincia y el Ministerio de Obras Públicas de la Nación firmaron un convenio para la ejecución de obras en Misiones. Entre los principales proyectos se encuentra el circuito aeróbico Ñepyru Jeguata y la reconstrucción de la ruta costera 2. También, se pondrán en funcionamiento los puentes sobre los arroyos Chancay, Santa Rita y Yabotí.
En los últimos tres años, del 10 de diciembre de 2019 a la fecha, a través del plan Argentina Grande para el desarrollo, entre los trabajos ejecutados en marcha y futuros se realizaron 279 obras y proyectos para Misiones. La inversión total es de $99.261 millones.
El programa federal cuenta con cuatro ejes fundamentales para su realización: obras viales -corredores viales para la integración y el desarrollo-; obras hídricas y de saneamiento; infraestructura urbana y rural -mediante la consolidación y el fortalecimiento del sistema de ciudades-, e infraestructura del cuidado, con la atención integral de la salud, la niñez, los géneros, las juventudes y personas mayores.
