Precios Cuidados: empresas piden aumentos de hasta el 12%

En el contexto de una fuerte suba de los commodities a nivel internacional, las empresas de consumo masivo se preparan para negociar con el Gobierno la actualización trimestral comprometida del programa Precios Cuidados. Firmas consultadas por Ámbito, anticiparon que pedirán aumentos de hasta el 12%, el doble de lo otorgado en enero. Argumentan una disparada en los costos. La renovación está prevista para el 7 de abril. La Secretaría de Comercio apunta a “mantener una canasta amplia y variada que sea accesible para el consumo popular”.
La fuerte presión que impone a la canasta alimentaria la escalada del conflicto bélico entre Rusia y Ucrania tendrá un nuevo episodio en el plano local durante abril. El 7 de ese mes deben definirse los aumentos trimestrales del plan que contiene unos 1.300 productos de consumo masivo. En la última renovación que se llevó a cabo en enero, la suba autorizada fue de entre el 5% y el 6%, dependiendo el artículo y se dividió en tres cuotas.
En aquel momento las firmas que participan del programa ya pedían alzas mayores. Uno de los argumentos centrales que exhibió el sector fue el avance del costo de los insumos, la logística y los salarios. De todas maneras, la Secretaría de Comercio que conduce Roberto Feletti, acordó subas por debajo de la inflación.
En este caso, una de las principales empresas del sector de alimentos anticipó a Ámbito que pedirá, como base, una suba del 12% a repartirse en tres cuotas consecutivas del 4% mensual. “Es lo que teníamos estimado como mínimo, pero ahora con la guerra el escenario es cada vez más complejo”, dijeron. Otro de los puntos que remarcan, es que una serie de productos estuvo bajo el congelamiento de precios anunciado en octubre pasado y que en algunos casos esto finalmente retrotrajo a valores de julio de 2021. Según afirman, esos artículos solo aumentaron un 6% entre julio del año pasado y marzo de este año, muy por debajo de la inflación.
Algunas empresas ya enviaron sus propuestas y argumentos a la Secretaría de Comercio, que pidió unos días para enviar su respuesta. Pero la idea central de la cartera que conduce Roberto Feletti es “mantener una canasta amplia y variada que sea accesible para el consumo popular”. En esa línea, explican que las negociaciones recién empezaron y que los aumentos otorgados se conocerán más cerca del 7 de abril.
La inflación se presenta como el gran desafío del gabinete económico. Al fuerte componente inercial, se le suma el contexto internacional que empujará hacia arriba indudablemente los precios de la canasta básica. Hoy el INDEC dará a conocer el Índice de Precios al Consumidor del mes de febrero. Según consultoras privadas, rondará el 4%. Aun así, todo parece indicar que lo peor no pasó porque en la primera quincena de marzo hubo fuertes subas en los alimentos. A eso se le suman los aumentos en combustibles y servicios públicos.
Con este escenario, la discusión que se plantea para el avance de los precios de 1.300 productos de consumo masivo, vuelve a tomar importancia. El Gobierno busca posicionar a Precios Cuidados como una canasta de referencia, mientras analiza una serie de medidas para atenuar el impacto de la suba de los precios internacionales.
