Las Cataratas del Iguazú recibieron 50 mil visitantes en 13 días
En el inicio de temporada de verano, la ciudad tuvo una ocupación hotelera del 76% y un promedio de cinco mil visitas por día. Desde el sector turístico local están “muy agradecidos con los visitantes que han elegido nuestro destino”.
Según indicó Leopoldo Lucas, presidente del Ente de Turismo de Iguazú, las Cataratas transitan un “muy buen inicio de temporada”. En lo que va de enero, la séptima maravilla del mundo ya recibió más de 50 mil visitantes.
El promedio diario de ingreso al Parque Nacional Iguazú, detalló, “es superior a las cinco mil visitas”.
En cuanto a la estadía, indicó que la ciudad de Puerto Iguazú mantiene un porcentaje de ocupación del 76%. Este registro resulta “bien uniforme en la distribución en cuanto a los alojamientos, ya que hay para todos los gustos y presupuestos”.
A las visitas al Parque Nacional, se suma que los turistas recorren la ciudad, que está totalmente renovada. Además, visitan otros puntos como los establecimientos gastronómicos y paseos.
“Estamos muy agradecidos con los turistas que han elegido nuestro destino para sus vacaciones de verano y los invitamos siempre a que visiten Iguazú y la provincia de Misiones”, manifestó Lucas.
El turismo lidera el crecimiento
Por otra parte, el ministro de la cartera nacional, Matías Lammen afirmó que “el turimo está entre los rubros que lidera la recuperación del empleo desde hace 16 meses”, junto a la actividad industrial y la construcción.
Refiriéndose al primer tramo de las vacaciones de verano, destacó que “se está registrando una muy buena temporada en todos los destinos turísticos del país”.
Puntualizó que el turismo, “es el sector que, en la variación interanual económica, más crece, genera puestos de trabajo a lo largo y lo ancho del país y esto no es menor, porque tiene una distribución federal de la demanda de empleo y eso para la Argentina es muy necesario”.
Como desafío del Ministerio que encabeza, Lammens señaló que “para 2023 tienen planteado sostener este nivel de demanda todo el año”.
