En ese momento se generó una situación de tensión en la sala y el que tomó la palabra fue Pablo de Biasi, el abogado de Magdalena Espósito, la madre de Lucio. «Mi clienta prefiere retirarse y no estar presentes en este testimonio». Efectivamente, la mujer se fue de la sala y no escuchó el testimonio de su pareja, ni siquiera por los parlantes.
Cuando las condiciones estuvieron dadas, Páez comenzó a hablar. Inició su relato contando cómo había sido aquel 26 de noviembre del 2021 para ella, el día en que Lucio fue asesinado. La mujer contó que cuando se hizo de noche, llevó al trabajo a Magdalena y luego volvió a su casa para «cuidar a Lucio».
La mujer se sentó frente a la jueza Alejandra Ongaro y declaró durante una hora. En su discurso se refirió al momento del asesinato. Dijo que estaba sola con Lucio y confesó que lo golpeó «porque se mandó un moco». «Entonces lo tomé del brazo y le pegué varias pataditas en la cola. Fue todo muy rápido, no sé. Le pegué y no medí donde, ni sé por qué tampoco. No le encuentro una explicación todavía», digo Páez.
