La Administración Federal de Ingresos Públicos (AFIP) autorizó el embargo de dinero depositado en billeteras virtuales y ya solicitó a la Justicia que le aplique la medida a 9800 contribuyentes morosos.
Desde la AFIP excusaron que “no se trata de una batalla contra las fintech, sino de adecuar las herramientas a las épocas”. Hasta ahora los embargos sobre contribuyentes morosos se concretaban sobre cuentas bancarias, bienes muebles, inmuebles y créditos.
El dinero depositado en las cuentas de billeteras virtuales se embargará en caso de que no sea suficiente o no alcance con embargarle la cuenta bancaria a un deudor judicializado. “No estaba contemplada esa posibilidad hasta el momento”, aseguraron desde la administración.
De este modo, la AFIP informó que fue identificado un universo de 9800 contribuyentes morosos para los que la solicitará a la Justicia que trabe embargo sobre sus billeteras virtuales. El organismo detalló que pretende “asegurar el cobro de $24.000 millones en impuestos adeudados por estos contribuyentes”.
