Firmaron acuerdos para potenciar a Iguazú como destino sostenible y posicionar el Camino Jesuítico Guaraní
Promocionaron el destino Misiones en la Feria Internacional de Turismo de España. Fortalecer la conservación, el desarrollo local e impulsar el desembarco de empresas líderes fueron los objetivos de la provincia.
La presencia de la delegación misionera en la Feria Internacional de Turismo de Madrid (FiTur) permitió la promoción del destino ante las firmas internacionales de mayor trayectoria, que buscan nuevos sitios para realizar sus inversiones. El ministro de Turismo, José María Arrúa, encabezó una serie de gestiones para impulsar el desarrollo de la actividad sostenible, sin descuidar la protección de los recursos naturales.
En ese marco, la Provincia firmó la carta de compromiso para sostener a Puerto Iguazú como el primer destino sostenible de Argentina. Esto significa que cuenta con el aval de la Certificación Biosphere, que trabaja en el presente y futuro del turismo sostenible. Este documento busca cumplir con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenibles (ODS) establecido por la agenda de la ONU para 2030, donde el turismo y los sectores productivos cumplen un papel importante.
De esta manera, con el desarrollo de la producción y el turismo, las nuevas generaciones enfocan el crecimiento en la salud. En la actualidad, buscan acompañar las opciones que tienen menor impacto para cuidar la salud de las personas y del propio planeta.
“Se busca el desarrollo del turismo sostenible en el impulso a la economía, pero que esta búsqueda aproveche los recursos naturales sin impactos y sin riesgos. Conservar y valorizar la identidad del lugar, tanto cultural como sus bienes autóctonos”, explicó el titular de la cartera turística.
Este acuerdo servirá además para lanzar el proyecto regional Transformando el Futuro (en inglés: Transforming the Future), que incluye a cinco países de la región (Argentina, México, Brasil, Chile y Colombia). El objetivo es transformar la calidad de vida y el destino de la población, centrados en los pueblos indígenas, comunidades criollas y mujeres emprendedoras.
Intercambio de experiencias con Costa Rica
Arrúa se reunió también con el ministro de Turismo de Costa Rica, William Rodríguez López, para estrechar vínculos con el gobierno de ese país en el área turística. Ambos acordaron realizar intercambios de experiencias, con la posibilidad de generar especializaciones en ecoturismo y diversificación de sistemas productivos.
Costa Rica lidera el destino internacional en Ecoturismo y son un ejemplo del desarrollo planificado de la diversificación productiva. El país centroamericano generó distintas propuestas de inversiones en tecnología, que permitieron el desembarco de empresas como INTEL y otras líderes en este segmento.
Los Caminos Jesuítico Guaraní y de Santiago
Por otra parte, el ministro Arrúa suscribió acuerdos con Alejandro Rubin Carballo, presidente de la Asociación Internacional de Cooperación Turística (Asicotur), para la integración de Misiones a esa organización y la colaboración recíproca. Esta asociación colabora con entidades públicas y privadas, profesionales del turismo y la sociedad en general para posicionarse como conector y transmisor de conocimientos.
En este marco, Misiones busca posicionar el Camino Jesuítico Guaraní y crear el plan directo que posibilite el desarrollo a largo plazo de Caminos organizados para Caminantes. Para alcanzar el objetivo firmaron un convenio de cooperación mutua con el Camino Iniciático de Santiago de Compostela. Contempla el posicionamiento y la visibilidad de la tierra sin mal como un destino para realizar caminos de la naturaleza, la historia jesuítico-guaraní y las Cataratas del Iguazú.
Asicotur es una organización sin fines de lucro con presencia en todos los países de lengua española y portuguesa del mundo. Se creó en octubre de 2020 y desde su origen pertenece a la Organización Mundial de Turismo (OMT) como miembro afiliado. Busca fomentar la cooperación entre destinos turísticos, incluir proyectos de asistencia para el lanzamiento del turismo como procesos de cooperación al desarrollo. Además, impulsan el trabajo colaborativo y la transferencia de conocimientos para la recuperación y el rediseño del sector.
Luz verde para retomar el vuelo Madrid – Iguazú
El titular de la cartera turística analizó junto a directivos de la firma Air Europa, la posibilidad de retomar la línea internacional que conecta a Madrid con Puerto Iguazú. “Encontramos buena predisposición”, afirmó.
Por otra parte, el ministro se reunió con el director regional de Desarrollo del Grupo Huttopia, Daniel Carrillo, para evaluar el desembarco de esta firma líder del desarrollo del glamping en la provincia. Se trata de un segmento de turismo poco explorado en el país, pero que toma fuerza en todo el mundo. “El interés persiste y la voluntad por parte de la provincia de acompañar en todo lo que implica el desarrollo de este segmento de turismo poco explorado en el país”, remarcó Arrúa.
Las gestiones de Arrúa en la Fitur, celebrada en la capital española, alcanzaron también a la empresa Viajes El Corte Inglés. Durante la reunión habló sobre la posibilidad de que éste importante grupo desembarque en Misiones, con inversiones en el sector turístico de Iguazú y otros puntos de la provincia. El Corte Inglés es una firma con más de 150 oficinas en España, Francia, Italia, Portugal, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Estados Unidos, México, Panamá, Perú, República Dominicana y Uruguay.
