Mientras la tensión era reinante fuera del edificio del INYM, en otros puntos de la provincia se realizaban cortes de avenidas y rutas por diversos reclamos. A 15 cuadras decenas de personas se manifestaban pidiendo la aplicación de la Ley de Emergencia Social encabezada por el Partido Agrario y Social, allí se encontraba Martín Sereno, diputado provincial y líder del Movimiento Evita.
No obstante, desde el Mástil los manifestantes fueron a acompañar el acampe de los productores de los yerbateros que ya habían tomado el edificio del Instituto Nacional de la Yerba Mate. Pero lo que no sabían lo que les esperaba, y no fueron bienvenidos.
Algunos productores pidieron a Sereno que “no se meta” porque no pretendían “politizar” el reclamo. Fue allí que se produjo otra situación de tensión, y el diputado fue agredido por uno de los yerbateros. “Temprano nos pidieron apoyo. Pero nos encontramos con Víctor Chamula, el marido de la concejal renovadora que yo denuncié por trabajo esclavo y agitó contra mí”, expresó el dirigente del PAyS a MISIONES OPINA y confesó: “Nosotros no queríamos hacer disturbios y nos fuimos”.
La concejal que hizo referencia el legislador es Mirtha Kachan, edil de la localidad de Andresito, y agregó: “a los dos denuncié por tener trabajo esclavo hace dos años”. Por otro lado, y teniendo en cuenta los antecendentes, Sereno agregó: “Cuando me iba con la policía me pegaron un chispazo de atrás”.

“Quisimos ser solidarios con ellos pero se exaltaron y no quieren que los acompañemos, por ello nos vamos a la plaza con la organización Barrios de Pie”, manifestó el diputado del PAyS Martín Sereno. Lo mismo hicieron con la agrupación Barrios de Pie.
